Values & Culture

Shared Values are the foundation of a strong team culture

Teams with clearly understood and shared values are significantly more engaged, collaborative, and effective.

Every team has values, but they’re not always visible, shared, or experienced in a way that feels real in day-to-day work. This workshop helps teams explore what truly matters to them and bring their culture to life through hands-on creative practice..

Session Flow

This session supports teams to:

  • Clarify personal and shared values

  • Translate values into observable behaviours and ways of working

  • Strengthen alignment, trust, and cultural connection

  • Create shared language and symbols for culture

Art Practice 1: Collage - What I Value

Participants create a personal values collage using imagery and words to reflect what matters most to them. Prompted by the question, “What do I care about most, and how does that show up in the way I work?”

Personal Reflection:

  • What do we mean by values in action?

  • What does a healthy, connected team culture feel like?

  • Where are our values visible, and where are they not?

Art Practice 2: Clay - Symbol of Meaning

Participants create a small clay form representing a personal or shared value. This tactile practice helps translate values into something physical and memorable — a symbol that can be kept as a reminder.

Group Reflection

Participants share their artworks and reflections, followed by a guided group conversation exploring:

  • What values are coming through strongly?

  • What’s currently working well in our culture?

  • What feels missing or needs more attention?

  • What do we want to consciously take forward?

Workshop Outcomes

Teams will leave with:

  • A clearer understanding of personal and shared values

  • Stronger alignment on how values show up in everyday work

  • Shared language to support culture, connection, and decision-making

Research consistently shows that creativity doesn’t happen in isolation, it thrives in teams with shared values, trust, and strong cultural foundations.
